Game objective:
Baccarat or Punto Banco is a card game played against the house. The objective is to predict the outcome of the cards that are dealt to the player and to the banker. All hands have a point value of nine or less, all cards valued at 10 count as zero, and Aces are valued at one. If the total value of the cards is more than 10, 10 is deducted from that number to get a card value of nine or less. To bet, you place a wager on any one of the following hands:
- The banker's hand
- The player's hand
- A tie
- The player's hand and a tie
- The banker's hand and a tie
The winning hand is the hand valued closest to nine after all of the cards are dealt.
The player can bet on either the player’s hand or the banker’s hand, and can also bet on a tie, either on its own or in addition to a wager on either the player or the banker. A player can place multiple bets but he or she can not place a bet on both the player and the banker’s hands at the same time. After betting the cards are drawn, and the winning hand is paid according to the payment table listed below.
Basics:
- All suits (spades, hearts, clubs, and diamonds) have equal value.
- Baccarat is played using a single deck of 52 cards.
- The cards are shuffled before playing.
- All card totals of 10 are valued as zero. For example, if a 8 and a 4 are dealt for a total of 12, 10 points are deducted, making the total value 2.

- Initially, two cards are dealt to the player and two cards are dealt to the banker. A third card can be dealt to both the player and the banker depending on the total of the hands. These rules can be found in the drawing rules section below.
- After all the cards have been dealt, the results are displayed on the screen and the bets are paid.

Game rules:
- After the player wagers and clicks the “DEAL” button four cards are dealt in the following order: (1)Player, (2)banker, (3)player, (4)banker.
- According to the drawing rules below, an additional card is dealt to the player and/or the banker to a limit of six cards.
- The winning hand is the hand with the score closest to nine.
- All cards normally valued at 10 (except Aces) are equal to zero. Aces are valued at one, and all of the other cards are valued at their face value.
- When the total points of the player's or the dealer's hand have a value of more than 10, 10 is deducted from that number to get a point value of 9 or less. For example, if a 8 and a 9 are dealt, totaling 17, 10 points would be deducted, making the total seven.
- If a hand values eight or nine with the first two cards dealt, the hand is considered a natural winner unless the beaten by a higher natural winner.
- In the event of a tie, all bets are returned.
- The drawing rules laid out below are followed based on the initial two cards.
- Winning bets on the player are paid at even odds.
- Winning bets on the banker are paid at even odds less a 5% commission
- Winning bets on a tie bet are paid 8:1.
